This tutorial assumes you have already created your new email account in your web hosting account…typically through your hosting control panel.

Start by clicking the TOOLS LINK. Then click E-MAIL ACCOUNTS.

The E-MAIL ACCOUNT WINDOW will appear.

Click the ADD button, and then click NEXT.

Choose POP3 then click NEXT.

Enter the NAME as you would like it to appear in the from field of outgoing emails.

Enter the NEW EMAIL ADDRESS in the next box.

Now enter the EMAIL USER NAME as provided to you by your hosting provider. This may be the entire email address or just the user name prefix.

Now enter your EMAIL PASSWORD.

Now you have to enter your INCOMING POP3 AND OUTGOING SMTP MAIL SERVER SETTINGS in the provided boxes.

Click the MORE SETTINGS tab.

Then click the OUTGOING SERVER tab.

Check the box for SMTP AUTHENTICATION.

SMTP AUTHENTICATION means that Outlook will login to your mail server even when sending emails (not just receiving) ensuring that you are the ONLY one that can send emails from your account.

Most SMTP servers use the SAME USERNAME AND PASSWORD as the POP3 servers.  So just leave the first item selected. Click OK.

Click FINISH to complete the wizard.

That’s it! You’ve successfully setup an email account and can now start sending and receiving emails from that account from Outlook..
