Globat offers unlimited hosting as well as an extensive amount of other services which includes, but is definitely not limited to web design and domain registration services.

Globat has been in the hosting biz since 2001, but that doesn’t say everything. What says the most is what the quality of their services are and what kind of rapport they have built with the hosting consumers that trusted them enough to do business with them.

During this review, I want you to keep in mind that I’m out here doing this for you. I’m not here trying to promote Globat, so that leaves me in the position to where the outcome of this review will only be based on the truth and nothing else.

Price Value

Globat offers unlimited hosting for $4.44 per month and they even throw in a free domain. Backing your purchase is a 30 day money back guarantee (details can be found on the Globat website).

This is an average price tag for unlimited hosting, so they are definitely providing you with a good value when I speak of the cost associated with their services.

A good price tag is just the start. You also want to see a nice array of features from your web hosting provider. At least that’s what I want to see! Without further ado, let’s see the Globat features.

  • Free $50 Google AdWords Voucher
  • Free $25 Yahoo! Search Marketing Voucher
  • Unlimited Email Accounts
  • AwStats Included
  • Free Shopping Cart
  • And much more!

When it comes to features, Globat seems to provide them, which is a plus in my book. I’m not done yet though, let’s see how they add up on the other review sections.

As far as performance is concerned, they do use Dell servers. However, they use older models of servers with tiny hard drives and a minimal amount of RAM. To top it off, they seem to oversell their network since it’s definitely low for how many servers they have hooked up to it.

When performance is concerned, Globat fails. If they would take a little more pride in their infrastructure, they could very well prove to be one of the hosts with some of the best performance in the industry. Sadly, that’s not the case this time around.

Globat claims to provide 24/7 network monitoring, but they don’t have an uptime guarantee in place to reimburse their customers if they ever experience downtime. Based upon feedback from Globat users, their reliability record is far from good. That’s why they really didn’t earn a good rating for reliability from me.

On top of that, the way that their network connection is setup, it’s just a matter of time before they find themselves in a boatload of downtime.

Of course, I would prefer speaking to someone who is good with English, but with Globat that doesn’t seem to be the case. From what I have seen during my testing with their support team and the feedback of others, their support is one of their weak points.

I can’t vouch for them and say that their support is awesome and that they will always lend a helping hand. Simply because they did nothing but show me they were incapable of providing high quality support.

Love Factor

When it comes to Globat, I have a tiny bit of love for them. Mainly due to the length of time that they have been doing business and the wide assortment of features that they provide their customers with. Other than that, there’s not much more to say. 🙂
